Joe Pompliano Says Chiefs’ New Kansas Stadium Deal Is “Lopsided” for Taxpayers

After reviewing the 33-page term sheet, Pompliano says Kansas is effectively giving the Chiefs $3 billion while receiving little in return. The Chiefs will keep 100% of stadium revenue and pay $7 million in rent, which funnels into a team-controlled account for operations and upgrades. Pompliano said the agreement is “one of the most lopsided stadium deals in NFL history.”
