Joel Embiid Describes His Experience With His Emergency Appendectomy
Embiid made his Playoffs debut tonight, dropping 26 points in the loss. He was recovering from an emergency appendectomy. "They had me try some food from Texas. I thought it was a stomach virus or something...It got to the point where I couldn't sleep, and I was up until 4 am and I was like 'Yeah, I need help'"

Shumpert said Embiid was too important not to start, but felt Sixers should have reacted sooner once the offense bogged down in Game 4.
