Joel Embiid Successfully Underwent Appendectomy in Houston

After suddenly being diagnosed with appendicitis, Embiid underwent an appendectomy. The 76ers have reported that the surgery was successful. They'll share further details later. However, despite the positive surgery update, Embiid could be set to miss the playoffs, with a 2-4 or 4-6 week recovery period ahead. Just as Embiid was seemingly entering the postseason healthy, appendicitis struck.
