John McGinn scored in the 28th minute to give Scotland the lead against Haiti. This was the team's first World Cup goal since Craig Burley against Norway in 1998, 10,255 days ago. At 31 years and 238 days old, McGinn became the oldest player to score for Scotland at the World Cup, surpassing Kenny Dalglish(31 years and 103 days) in 1982.
