John Niland, Cowboys Super Bowl VI Champion, Dies at 82
Niland, a three-time All-Pro guard who helped the Cowboys win Super Bowl VI, has died at 82. His daughter Haven said he died Saturday in McKinney, Texas. Niland made 111 starts in 124 games over 9 seasons with Dallas, earning six straight Pro Bowl selections from 1968-73. The Iowa product was taken fifth overall in the 1966 draft and is survived by his wife and two daughters.
