Jordan Poyer Says Dolphins’ Defense Left Him ‘Alone on the Field’

Poyer admitted Miami’s defense left him lost. “It was the first time in my career I felt alone on the field,” Poyer said of Anthony Weaver’s system. “I didn’t understand our defense.” He added that not trusting teammates’ assignments was “draining, mentally & physically.” Poyer first joined the Bills in 2017, left for Miami in 2024 and then returned to the Bills in 2025.
