Jorge Masvidal Says Justin Gaethje Saved Paddy Pimblett From Ilia Topuria

Ex-UFC welterweight said Gaethje’s win spared Pimblett from the undisputed lightweight champion: “It’s a good thing Paddy didn’t win… he was going to get torched by Ilia.” He added, “Both these guys are levels below Ilia,” citing gaps in wrestling, striking, and defense. Gaethje defeated Pimblett last Saturday for the interim title. Masvidal predicted, “[Topuria] is going to fold him.”
