Josh Hokit Blames ‘Real Athletes’ for MMA’s Personality Problem
Hokit argued modern MMA has better athletes but fewer characters, replying to coverage of his complaint that the sport lacks old-school “wild men.” The former-49ers practice-squad fullback said: “Skill has increased because we grew up as real athletes…personality has decreased because we grew up as real athletes.” Hokit (9–0) is set to fight Derrick Lewis on the White House card.
