Hokit slammed Pereira’s (13-3) decision to vacate the light heavyweight belt and chase heavyweight glory, questioning his resume against grapplers. “It’s insane how he can be so ‘legendary’ but hasn’t fought a real wrestler…perfect timing,” Hokit said. Pereira’s exit sets up Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg for the vacant title at UFC 327 in Miami, where Hokit also fights Blaydes.
