Soto says the World Baseball Classic helped trigger his switch to left field for 2026. “He was asking me where I’m going to play in the WBC. I told him, ‘I’m going to play left field,’” Soto said in an SNY clip, adding, “I’m comfortable everywhere.” Soto broke in as a left fielder, played right from 2021-22, left in 2023, then right again in 2024.
