Jurrien Timber Ruled Out of Netherlands’ World Cup Campaign With Groin Injury

Timber had been out since mid-March with a groin problem, but featured in the second half of the Champions League final on May 30. The Royal Dutch Football Association(KNVB) confirmed on Monday that Timber "had not recovered sufficiently" to take part in the World Cup. Lutsharel Geertruida is his replacement.
