Trying to block a run from Denny Hamlin and Ryan Blaney while in the lead, Allgaier triggered the much-feared 'Big One' at Daytona. 17 cars were involved in the ensuing wreck as Allgaier's late block on Hamlin spun him around, with chaos ensuing behind him.
