Jefferson believes Murray’s arrival is exactly what McCarthy needs. “He’s got to step it up… it’s either now or I’m going to take that back seat again,” Jefferson said, pointing to the competitive edge Murray brings with his playmaking ability. While noting McCarthy looks “a lot more confident,” Jefferson emphasized the added pressure should force growth as the Vikings sort out their starting QB.
