Johnson stated that he beat the odds in his journey to the NBA, coming from Oakland and with his upbringing. "I dreamed of being here each day and once i got the call i committed," Johnson said of the Dunk Contest. He added that he just had "crazy faith" and that the Lord helped him put on a show.
