Khamzat Chimaev Named Chechnya ‘Athlete of the Year’ After UFC Dominance

Chimaev won Athlete of the Year from Chechnya’s Ministry of Sports. The undefeated UFC middleweight champion (15-0) is one of UFC's most dominant fighters, with four of his six submission wins and five of his six KOs coming in round one. Though he now holds UAE citizenship, Chimaev previously stated he still carries Chechen roots as he was born there.
