New gym footage shows Chimaev (15-0) trading kicks and counters with Rountree at Santo Studio’s in Newport Beach. The undefeated middleweight (185-lbs) champ won the belt over Du Plessis last year and awaits his first defense. Rountree, a UFC light heavyweight (205-lbs) with a Muay Thai base, called him “a bear trap,” and the southpaw work should sharpen Chimaev’s standup.
