Herbstreit blasted the CFP committee for ranking Notre Dame above Miami all year despite Miami’s h2h win, calling it “misleading.” Once BYU lost, Miami finally moved close enough for the committee to apply head-to-head and flip the teams, sending Miami into the 12-team Playoff.
