Knicks Unlikely to Give Karl-Anthony Towns Full Max Extension

The Knicks are not expected to offer Towns a full maximum extension, according to James L. Edwards III. The center is eligible for a projected four-year, $272 million deal, but New York faces major luxury-tax and second-apron concerns. Towns remains under contract through next season with a $61 million player option for 2027-28.
