Kon Knueppel Dethrones Cooper Flagg in the Rookie of the Year Race

NBA.com released its latest weekly rookie ladder for the 2025-26 season, ranking the ten best first-year players based on recent play. Knueppel leads at No. 1 with Flagg right behind at No. 2. Edgecombe, Queen, Raynaud, Harper, Coward, Bailey, and Demin occupy spots three through nine respectively. Fears and Murray-Boyles share the tenth and final spot on the list.

Darko was livid with a non-call by the refs. He believed Brandon Ingram was fouled on a three-point attempt at the top of the key by Stephon Castle but the refs didn't call it. Midway through the third quarter of the Spurs' game vs. Raptors, Johnson injured his left shoulder while going around a screen, with his hand getting caught up. He was seen winning in pain after getting injured. Jeff Garcia has reported that after the injury, Johnson is now questionable to return to the game. The Spurs will hope it isn't serious.

Shams Charania: Jayson Tatum Is Doing Five-on-Five Scrimmages, Building Up Conditioning

Shams stated that Tatum is back to five-on-five scrimmages and is putting together a number of practices to build up conditioning. He said Tatum is facing "the hurdle of being 100% mentally ready, 100% confidence in that right leg." However, Shams added that the Celtics are not pressuring Tatum, who wants to return to star form before coming back.
