Laney College’s John Beam Dies After Campus Shooting; Suspect Arrested

Beam, 66, was shot Thursday inside the Laney Field House and died Friday, ABC News reported. Police said a suspect was arrested and “did, in fact, know” Beam, though they “did not have a relationship.” The college first called him “a senior member of our athletic staff,” adding, “We are keeping them and their loved ones in our hearts.”
