Liam Coen Reportedly Passed on Jaguars Job Before Accepting After GM Firing

Coen is the first rookie head coach in NFL history to win 12-plus games after inheriting a team with four or fewer wins the prior season, making him a strong Coach of the Year candidate. But he initially turned down the job in Jacksonville and accepted only hours after GM Trent Baalke was fired. Coen also played a significant role in hiring 35-year-old replacement James Gladstone.
