Lions Safety Brian Branch Tears Achilles

Branch tore his Achilles in Thursday’s win over Dallas, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, ending his season after posting 75 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery in 12 games. It’s Detroit’s second major secondary loss in two weeks after Terrion Arnold’s season-ending injury, with Kerby Joseph still out. Thomas Harper, Daniel Thomas and Avonte Maddox are next up.
