Logan Webb, Victor Bericoto Power San Francisco Giants’ 1-0 Win
Webb carried a no-hitter into the seventh and allowed one hit over seven innings as San Francisco edged Milwaukee 1-0. Bericoto supplied the only run with his first career homer, a 385-foot shot off Gasser in the fifth. Cristopher Sánchez’s Historic Scoreless Streak Ends vs. Padres
Sánchez’s historic streak ended in the seventh when Merrill singled home France, tying Phillies-Padres at 1-1. The left-hander went 50 2/3 innings without allowing a run, the fifth-longest mark in MLB history behind Hershiser, Drysdale, Johnson and Coombs. His run began April 30 and already broke Grover Cleveland Alexander’s 115-year-old Phillies record before Wednesday’s game against San Diego.
