Luis Pineda Admits He Needs More Experience Before Calling for a Canelo Álvarez Fight

Pineda (2-&) says he’d need “several fights won” and tougher opposition before chasing veteran Álvarez at super-middleweight, for a real fight. The Misfits Boxing alum last fought Jan. 14, 2023, outpointing BDave in London. Álvarez last appeared Sept. 13, 2025, losing a 12-round clear unanimous decision to Crawford at Allegiant Stadium. Pineda adds: “I’d need to be 100% trained.”
