Luka Doncic-Backed Group Aim to Buy Italian Club With Hopes of Joining NBA’s Europe League
Doncic and former Mavericks GM Donnie Nelson are part of an investor group trying to buy North Italian basketball club Vanoli Basketball Cremona. The bigger plan is to bring the team to Rome and enter into Adam Silver's new NBA European League. Although Dirk Nowitzki was initially reported as part of the investor group, his spokesperson Scott Tomlin denied it.

Paul Pierce Says Tanking Exists Because One Player Can Flip an NBA Franchise
On No Fouls Given, Pierce said tanking is unique because “one player can change the fate of an NBA franchise.” He added, “No other leagues does this.” He pointed to Boston’s 2007 bottom-out: “We tanked in 07… We won a championship the next year” after a top-five pick and trades. “I understand it… I don’t like it,” Pierce said.

Celtics Should Be East Favorites if Jayson Tatum Returns, Paul Pierce Says
Following Tatum's practice with Maine Celtics, Pierce claimed, "They're second in the East. They bring in a first team all NBA player." Pierce emphasized Tatum doesn't need to be elite immediately: "He just has to be a presence, a guy that can really knock down shots down the stretch, be another facilitator...That could be enough to make them better."
