Smart said he took responsibility after stepping on the baseline with 1.2 seconds left in a 118-116 game that gave the Spurs a final chance. He said his teammates understand his stance, he said “As a 12 year vet I can't make that mistake. I take full ownership of it… they're gonna joke with me… but it'll never happen again.”
