Mark Darbon confirms St Andrews Old Course adds 132 yards for 2027 Open

After 2022’s 7,313-yard setup, the Old Course will stretch 7,445 yards for 2027: new tees on 5, 6, 7, 10; longer 11 and 16; a shortened 12; a restored fairway on 16; repositioned bunkers, including Road Hole bunker restoration. Darbon said plan will “enhance and restore the challenge.” The Links Trust chief vowed to “protect the course while ensuring fairness.”
