Marshon Lattimore Set to Lose Commanders Contract in $18.5 Million Move

The Commanders will release veteran cornerback Marshon Lattimore by March 15 to clear $18.5 million in salary cap space. Lattimore, acquired at the 2024 trade deadline, struggled with injuries, including a season-ending ACL tear in November 2025. Because his remaining salary is non-guaranteed, the move carries zero dead money, providing critical flexibility for general manager Adam Peters to rebuild the defense.
