Matt Cardona Officially Signs With WWE SmackDown

Cardona returned on the first SmackDown of 2026 as the mystery opponent for Kit Wilson. Michael Cole confirmed that SmackDown GM Nick Aldis has signed Cardona to the brand. The titantron briefly listed him as Zack Ryder before switching to Matt Cardona, confirming the name WWE will use going forward.
