Max Scherzer Nears Blue Jays Debut After Camp Side Session

Max Scherzer threw a side session in full uniform on Monday at Toronto Blue Jays camp, with his deal expected to be official by Tuesday. He’s been built up facing minor-league free agents in Jupiter, Fla., and will throw again on Wednesday. Scherzer could make his Grapefruit League debut on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
