Alvarado is ecstatic about playing for his hometown Knicks. He admitted that it just feels like it was meant to be. When asked about his first game, vs. Celtics, he said, "It feels like I’ve been part of it for a while, even though it was the first game." He added that it felt like it was supposed to happen.

Paul Pierce Defends Doc Rivers From 'Overrated' Title, Pins Blown 3-1 Leads on Superstars
Pierce said Rivers is “great at motivating” and “great out of timeouts,” arguing the infamous blown 3-1 leads belong to the stars. “I put that on the players,” he said, adding superstars should win one game without coaching. Rivers has lost three 3-1 series leads, once in Orlando and twice with the Clippers. Pierce called him “great play calling,” too.

Paul Pierce on Being Taken Out on a Wheelchair: “Did Y’all See Me Ask for a Wheelchair?”
Pierce revisited the infamous wheelchair-to-locker-room moment, insisting it wasn’t his call. “First of all, who asked for the wheelchair? Did y’all see me ask for a wheelchair?” he said, noting cameras were on him the whole time. He blamed trainers being cautious: “Don’t put no pressure on your knee.” Pierce added he wasn’t headed to the bathroom.
