Mets Outright Brandon Waddell to Triple-A After Clearing Waivers

Waddell cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse after the Mets DFA’d him to open a 40-man spot for catcher Drew Romo. The Mets had re-signed the lefty to a one-year MLB deal earlier this offseason. Waddell posted a 3.45 ERA over 31.1 innings in 11 appearances last season and will bolster depth if injuries arise.
