Mexico Celebrations Turn Tragic as 3 Die After Ecuador Victory

Three people died from suffocation during celebrations in Mexico City after Mexico’s 2-0 Round of 32 win over Ecuador. The city’s public health authority said a 19-year-old woman, a 44-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman died from asphyxiation after crowds filled the streets. Medical responders performed CPR. All three were later identified by their families.
