Michael Jordan’s Ryder Cup Free-Throw Story: ‘Most Nervous I’ve Been in Years’

Jordan, an attendee at the recently held Ryder Cup, rented a place near the golf course. The property had a basketball court and the owner insisted Jordan had some free throws. He hadn’t picked up a ball in years, but the owner and grandkids gathered. “It’s the most nervous I’ve been in years,” he said. “Those kids heard the stories from thirty years ago.” Mike Tirico said, “I hope you swished it.” Jordan answered: “Absolutely.”
