Michigan Explains Why Staffer Wasn’t Fired After Sherrone Moore Affair

Michigan explained the staffer involved in Moore’s affair kept her job under its supervisor–employee policy, which places reporting responsibility on the supervisor. Officials said firing her would violate anti-retaliation rules. Prosecutors added that she reported the relationship after Moore continued contacting her. Sherrone now faces felony and misdemeanor charges and has pleaded not guilty.
