Mike Elko Pushes Back on Expanded CFP, “We Don’t Need to Be NCAA Basketball”

Mike Elko said the college football playoff format shouldn’t mirror March Madness, stressing “the importance of the regular season” must remain. He added “we don’t need to be NCAA basketball,” noting the sport’s appeal lies in meaningful late-season games “that people lose,” while acknowledging more data is needed to find the right balance.
