A trade of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick would leave the acquiring team responsible for a $15.6 million non-guaranteed salary in 2026, while the Miami Dolphins would absorb $12.9 million in dead cap but save $5.85 million. The 29-year-old is projected for a three-year, $58 million extension. Miami acquired Fitzpatrick and a fifth-round pick last June for Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith and a seventh-rounder.
