Mississippi State, Cowboys Legend DD Lewis Dies at 79

Mississippi State announced the passing of Bulldogs and Cowboys great DD Lewis at 79. A two-time All-SEC linebacker and 1967 SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Lewis played 13 seasons in Dallas, appearing in five Super Bowls and winning two. Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001, Lewis famously said: “Texas Stadium has a hole in its roof so God can watch his favorite team play.”
