MLB Proposes Hard Salary Cap In New CBA Negotiations
MLB proposed a hard salary cap to the players union as part of the next collective bargaining agreement, according to ESPN. The proposal would begin in 2027 with a $171.2 million salary floor, including benefits, and a $245.3 million payroll ceiling. The idea is expected to become one of the biggest battlegrounds in upcoming labor negotiations between owners and players.
