MLB’s July 4 Fireworks Took a Year of Global Planning

MLB teams are staging bigger July 4 fireworks shows because this year marks 250 years of American independence. The spectacles across 14 ballparks required year-round planning, Spanish-made close-proximity pyrotechnics, sea shipping, fire-marshal approvals, stadium mapping and music-timed software. The Braves are tripling Truist Park’s usual Friday show from 2,800 to 8,500 shots against the Mets at home.
