MLBPA Proposes Competitive Integrity Tax in First Offer
The MLBPA made its first proposal in collective bargaining negotiations today, per Jeff Passan. "A competitive-integrity tax for any team that does not spend $150M" is one of the topline issues. The union also seeks to increase the minimum salary from $780,000 to $1.5M and the base CBT threshold from $244M to $300M before the December expiration.
