NASCAR Sets Clear Rulebook Standard for Defining a ‘New Oem’

NASCAR’s updated 2026 rulebook says an OEM (for example: Ford, Toyota) counts as “a new OEM if it has not competed in the Series during the previous five race seasons.” The bulletin also adds that an OEM isn’t new if it just changes a brand or model or transfers ownership. NASCAR also reserves the right to determine final eligibility.
