Jake Weinbach reported that James Harden is likely to decline his upcoming $42.3M player option to negotiate a new long-term deal with the Cavs. This new deal would help the Cavs navigate the Second Apron with more fluidity while also giving Harden security on a longer contract. Despite the Cavaliers' devastating Conference Finals exit, both sides want a new deal.
