NBA East/West Standings Update (March 13th)
Rockets move back to 3rd after beating the Pels, displacing the Lakers (both at 41-25). Pistons-Grizzlies remain the same along with the Mavericks and Cavaliers. Raptors now 0.5 GB from 6th and Suns 2 GB from 6th.Knicks-Pacers and 76ers-Nets have not moved. Blazers are 0.5 GB from GSW. Clippers-Bulls have remained stagnant. Timberwolves are 6th but 0.5 from 3rd.

Lamar Odom Thinks the Lakers Have Talent, but No Defensive Appetite
Odom said the problem with this Lakers group isn’t scoring, it’s resistance. “Everybody could score the ball, but nobody wants to defend it,” he said, adding that the effort “is not there every night.” He argued the team avoids the dirty work on defense and the glass, then twisted the knife, saying he’d “rather watch college basketball right now.”

Gordon Hayward Knew Jayson Tatum Was Different From the First Pickup Run
Hayward said Tatum’s talent showed up before the games counted. In an early pickup run, rookie Tatum already “had every shot that you could have” and could score “at three levels” against pros. Most young players arrive with holes, but Hayward said Tatum didn’t look rattled. From the start, “there wasn’t a moment that was too big for him.”
