NCAA's Legal Spending Nears $300 Million Over Five Years
The NCAA spent $63.5 million on outside legal counsel in fiscal year 2025, pushing its five-year legal bill to $292.6 million. The association also disclosed $372.3 million in legal settlements during FY25, while revenue climbed to $1.56 billion. Since FY24, the NCAA has incurred more than $3 billion in legal settlement costs, and President Charlie Baker received $3.39 million in compensation.
