NCAA Sues DraftKings Over Unauthorized Use of "March Madness" Trademarks
NCAA filed a lawsuit against DraftKings in Indianapolis federal court Friday, alleging illegal use of trademarked phrases including "March Madness," "Final Four," "Elite Eight," and "Sweet Sixteen." NCAA seeks an emergency restraining order halting DraftKings' use. The lawsuit marks the first formal legal action against sports betting companies over college sports event phrases, citing concerns about linking betting to student-athletes.
