Nelly Korda Wins as LPGA Cuts Opener to 54 Holes

Korda won her first title in over a year, her 16th overall, after the LPGA shortened the Tournament of Champions to 54 holes. Ricki Lasky said the ground was “hard,” and practice shots changed as “balls were releasing when they weren’t supposed to be.” The LPGA wanted “championship caliber” conditions and said canceling 18 was “fair” to the entire field.
