New K-Ball Rules Reportedly Add 5–7 Yards to NFL Kicks

The NFL’s new 2025 K-ball procedures are already transforming special teams. Coaches say kickers are gaining “five to seven yards” in range after teams were granted extra prep time to work the balls. Buccaneers’ Chase McLaughlin drilled a 65-yarder, and several others have cleared 60 with ease—suggesting Justin Tucker’s 66-yard record may soon fall.
