New WNBA CBA to Pay Over $14 Million to Roughly 280 Retired Players
The new WNBA CBA includes a Veteran Recognition Payment distributing over $14 million to roughly 280 retired players, per Front Office Sports. Players with 5-7 years receive $30,000, 8-11 years $50,000 and 12-plus years $100,000. Any former MVP receives the full $100,000 regardless of service years, benefiting Cynthia Cooper, Yolanda Griffith, Maya Moore, and Elena Delle Donne.
