NFL Draft 2026 Speeds Up as Three Days Finish in Record Time
The NFL saved 36 minutes in first round by shortening the pick clock from 10 minutes to eight minutes. The opening night concluded in a record 2 hours and 53 minutes, down from 3 hours and 29 minutes in 2025. With seven minutes for Round 2, five minutes for Rounds 3-6, and four minutes for Round 7, all finished inside the stipulated time.
